Last night at the NZ Breakers game that was sponsored by us here at James Blond Ltd quite by chance and totally unknown to the staff member involved the real James Blond was chosen to take the $5000 shot at the game last night. It’s really very simple they pick someone from the crowd inside the stadium that has not made it to their seat before the start of the game who is wearing Breakers gear and that person gets to take the shot.
So at 1/4 time in the game James Pedersen stepped up to take a shot from the half way point of the court with a one shot chance to make $5000, this is a shot he has talked about making as we have sat on the side lines and a shot he has made on many occasions whilst playing basketball amongst friends, so he thought he was in with a chance.
One the count of three and James launched the shot it hit the time clock bounced down off the front of the basket rim and regretfully for him missed, he got to take 3 other shots closer to the rim but was unable to make those as well but what a surprise and a real bonus since it was our sponsor night.
