One of the things that drives the business here at James Blond Ltd is our web page rankings and if we are visable and people can find us easily then we will be busy and if we cannot be found then other than the people who know about us we would struggle to get the business that we do.

Since the introduction of the Internet publications like the Yellow Pages have become less and less relevant in fact they have not delivered to our address for the last two years and we have not even noticed as here at James Blond Ltd we use the net to do all our searching as do almost all of our customers this allows us to offer our rental cars to people all over the world and compete with the larger companies at the Auckland Airport whereas in the past the phone book was dominated by the larger players in the market.

One of the things that drives our site is customer feedback and ratings so when you receive good value and good service with your rental car from James Blond Ltd if you post about it online then you help other people hear about us and the good word spreads.

All this will help our ranking and therefore  increase our customer base.

As January draws to a close here at James blond Ltd we are celebrating another record month with this month the third busiest we have ever had and almost 750 rental car contracts written and as we move into February I can see no reason why this run should not continue based on the number of rental car bookings we have.

Since James Blond Ltd started renting cars in 2004 we have seen our business grow year on year and we put this down to a number of things including a great website but most of all it’s the staff in the office and the staff that keep the cars on the road and by ensuring that we have clean well maintained rental cars that are reliable  priced to meet the market and offer our customers good value for money will ensure that they keep coming back year after year to rent from us and also pass the word to their friends and family hence our client base increases year on year hence the new record month.

It’s funny how it works with our rental cars one day, like yesterday the yard is basically empty and then today we have 43 due to return and 12 due to depart and that 31 will make the yard fill up a little and then tomorrow we have more rental cars returning and the yard will be full again till Thursday when they all start to depart for the weekend again.

Three years ago here at James Blond Ltd we set a record number of rental car contracts on the day before Waitangi day when we did 55 contracts and although we have done 50+ a few times we have never exceeded this number and I wonder if this coming long weekend will be the chance with Monday as a holiday and the last break before Easter it’s a chance for people to have a final long weekend in one of our rental cars.

With bookings already very strong for our minivans and the 11 and 12 seat vans already booked out now would be a good time to make your booking for one of our 7 or 8 seat vans before it is to late. Even with one of the largest ranges of rental minivans in Auckland James Blond Ltd still struggle to meet the needs of our customers over the long and holiday weekends so get in early.

Last night at the Vector arena in front of just under 8000 fans the NZ Breakers smashed the Sydney Kings to remain top of the table in the ANBL and set a new record for the number of people who watched a basketball match here in NZ. And whilst there was a bit of sloppy play from time to time there was just enough Breaker brilliance that the crowd should have gone home happy with the result and for those who have never been to a game before a sense of satisfaction and maybe they will return to watch another.

Yesterday saw quite a bit of activity on some of the cars I have advertised for sale and at the end of the day we where one car less for the fleet and possibly two. Here at James Blond Ltd each and every year we reduce our stock holding by selling rental cars that we have owned for a couple or three years so that over the quieter winter months we do not have to store as many vehicles on a yard where space is limited and also of course free up a bit of cash.

Here at James Blond Ltd we have kept our car rental fleet fully serviced and maintained during the time that we have owned the vehicle and can confidently sell these vehicle knowing the history of them. As we also have Andrew Harris on site who runs a business as a finance broker we can assist with finance options that other dealers may struggle with and as such are able to help a wide selection of people into our ex rental cars.
