James Blond Ltd started like most businesses as an idea, when the directors where discussing possible business ideas to compliment the car yard they where operating and whilst the idea of buying a franchise and adding it to the business was discussed at the end of the day it was felt that to start from scratch would allow us to develop a car rental model that would reflect the unique traits we sae as being essential to the successful running of James Blond Ltd.

Kicking off the car rental business in 2004, we had planned to make it a small business that complimented the existing car dealership that we where already running on the site but over the next couple of years it became obvious that James Blond Ltd had tapped into a niche that suited both the local community and with that referral business to visitors from overseas. So the original 10 rental cars became 20 and then 50 and in 2009 we took over the whole site in Kelston.

With a fleet that now approaches 300 rental cars, vans, minibuses and trucks James Blond Ltd have become the largest stand alone rental company in West Auckland and this year we wrote our 45000^th rental contract, so things have really progressed from the original business plan.

Like all business we have had to learn to adapt to change and look for new opportunities so in 2009 we developed a relationship with Air NZ Parking Services at the Auckland airport to enable us develop an airport service. Air NZ Parking will meet your flight no matter what time of the day or night you arrive or who you fly with and give you your rental car on our behalf. This simple to use service runs 365 days of the year and operates whenever planes are flying.

With car rental rates as low as $20 per day for an extended hire during winter and late model Toyota vehicles available at very competitive rates James Blond Ltd can offer you better value for money.

If you are looking to move group of people in comfort and style we have one of the largest selections of rental minivans in Auckland with a wide model mix of 6,7,8,11 and 12 seat minibuses in fact we can offer you the capacity to move close to 500 people if you booked all of our minibuses.
